Day four-Beechworth

Did a tourist drive through the national park which runs around the town and came across historic buildings and waterfalls. Then off to a winery followed by a long drive to another winery called Glen Bosch. With a name like that we had to know, and yes it is owned by an ex South African family. The restaurant was extremely busy and we could not get in. They apparently do up to 100 covers per day on the weekend. Found the wines a little light, easy drinking. They had lost a huge amount of their harvest through smoke damage in the recent fires.

Then headed back to town and Billsons Brewery, which is no longer a Brewery but a Gin distillery. They are producers of Cordials, all sorts of Gin and pre mixed vodka drinks. They also have a restaurant which we avoided and headed down to their basement where they have a speakeasy arrangement and had drinks and a late lunch down there. That put paid to our day.

Back to camp to chop wood and make a fire for our barbie. Great day with a great ending.
