Arrived at Mount Isa to see the famous smoke stacks. Well I say famous, it is the first thing you see as you approach the ISA, that followed by the slag heaps. Isa has one of the most productive Zinc, Lead, Copper and Silver mines in the world. After we set up at camp we caught up with Peter and Gabby who are in town for a few days having repairs done to their car.
Did the sunset view of the stacks and some shopping for a new TV as ours has stopped working. So much for smart TV’s. Bought a cheapie at the post office which so far is serving us well. Posted the expensive one back to the supplier for repairs. While shopping I talked Peter into buying a fishing rod combo. Here’s hoping he will bring me some luck next time I chuck a line in.
While Pete’s car is in for servicing, I moved their van from one park to another as they found the position of their park too noisy. Now we have them as neighbours.
