Because the weather is not that great we decided to take a drive to Innisfail and have a walk around town. This turned out to be very interesting as the town was destroyed by cyclone in 1918 and many of the buildings were rebuilt in Art Deco style which was popular at the time. It has since had two other cyclones Winifred and Larry, hit the town. Innisfail is now considered one of the best Australian towns for Art Deco and Streamline Moderne architecture. In the 20’s and 30’s there was a large influx of Italian and Greek migrants bringing with them those wonderful culinary influences. Innisfail is on the Johnstone River.
A good day out with lots of walking and a visit to a great Deli.

A day of chores and visiting local areas like South Mission and the hardware to sort out a small plumbing issue. Hang out at the camp site and beach.
