Took a nice drive to Cape Crawford for one night to see the Kangaroos on the beach. The last time we were here we just turned around because there was such a long queue of caravans and no hope of getting in. This time there was plenty of room. We set up camp and just chilled. Went for a walk on the beach and observed the Kangaroos around the camp site. We were up before sunrise the next morning to see the roos feeding on the beach. There are very few places in Australia that this actually occurs. They feed on mangrove pods washed down the rivers and swept onto the beach. These days the ranger feeds them some pellets to ensure that they are not scared off by the people coming down to take pictures. As the sun rose the tide reached low and exposed the rocky causeway to the island. We walked to the causeway and took some pics. A lovely experience.
