Coonalpyn

Left the lovely Pine Forest at Dimboola before it got too hot. Visited the Dimboola Imaginarium which ET found very fascinating. Quick walk around town and it’s already very hot. Back on the road we stopped at a Pink Lake(not so pink) and on to visit some more silo art at Kaniva.

Shortly after that we crossed the border into South Australia. Made sure we were not carrying any fruit and veg as the fines are quite steep. Stopped at Border Town for ice creams and then back on the road to Coonalpyn where we visited the silo art and pulled into a small camp site which was free. We decided to hook up to power so that we could us the aircon. Its quite interesting. The council have taken a small wooded area alongside the public swimming pool and turned it into free camping. They have also installed about 8 poles with card readers and electricity supply. Alongside each pole there was a tap with drinking water to connect to. Swipe your card and you have 24 hours of power for $15. Limited time stays of course. Had a lovely swim in the public baths. It was delicious.
