Today we are doing a much shorter ride. We left early and rode in the opposite direction on the Riesling Rail Trail. After a good ride we turned around and headed into town for coffee and a little something. Back to the van for a shower before heading to the wineries.
We had an appointment at Kilikanoon set up by one of our friends in the wine industry and boy we were treated like royalty again. Visiting wineries will never be the same again after being spoilt by friends of friends who own wineries. Big thanks to Mike, Mal, and John, our friends in the industry.
After tasting almost everything on offer we staggered out and needed lunch. There was a winery very close to the caravan park, also recommended by one of our friends. It’s called Shut The Gate. We were hoping they had food but no such luck. They recommended a spot in town called Mr Micks. So that’s where we headed and enjoyed a lovely lunch. It is really hot today so a swim is definitely on the cards.
