After leaving our good friend Barry we headed North to Port Macquarie where we made arrangements to meet old travel buddies, Dirk and Carol Van Dijk. Also known as Dickie or Dick van Dijk. Caitlin Luke and Hazel were also in Port Macquarie and were staying with Lukes sister and brother in-law who now live there. So that was a bonus all round. Unfortunately the weather we are trying to get away from has caught up with us. So no real beach time for us.
As we drove into Port, Dickie and Carol were driving the other way so they turned around and came into the campground and chatted while we set up. Always great to catch up with them. We arranged dinner for one of the nights which was very nice. Thanks for the invite guys.
On the following evening we caught up with Chris, Ciara and the boys as well as Luke, Caitlin and Hazel at a local pub which was very nice family time.
During the days we did some walking and exploring of the town. Would be really special on a summers day. Oh well, next time.
